An international sequel to the Holi festival in India celebrated by Hindus as a festival of
colours, the London ‘we are one’ music festival saw thousands of party animals bask in the revelry in an open air affair getting thrashed with bags of flower based colourful paint while being pulsated by electronic psychedelic beats all day and night.

I know, sounds like super fun! But it’s all about colour. It’s all about love. It’s all about unity.
The revellers, dressed in white, energetically captured the true essence of what the event was all about – coming together to show camaraderie and unity on one joyous day at the Battersea Power Station.
From 2pm, every hour, on the hour, the partygoers filled the air with yellow, blue, orange, pink, and purple powdered paint. Being incited by the various top DJ’s in the country, the crowd gave a booming countdown to unleash a multi-coloured cloud of colour. Even though the powdered paint was environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and allergy free, using mouth and or eye protection (like goggles) will help as the sudden burst of colour in the air can at times feel quite stifling.
The smell of paint hung thick in the air as music lovers were spoilt for choice as the festival also saw dance performances and visual acts. The story of Holi One has been developed over time from a Hindu festival called ‘Phagwah’ which celebrates the spring season in India.
It’s the celebration of colour, unity and brotherhood where all differences are left at home and strangers paint each other so everyone looks the same and all barriers of discrimination are broken.
So, this monster massive alfresco party is definitely one not to be missed!
