Hello Charlie and Sim
We've been playing 'Let Go' on repeat in the office all week as it gets us in the party mood...How did the track come about?
Charlie: It was the first song we actually wrote and recorded after coming off X Factor. It's about letting go of your insecurities, your worries and just having a good time. We kinda felt towards the end of X Factor the pressure to do this, do that and we just needed to calm down, let go and just have a good time.
What is mixed Dubstep crossover?
Charlie: You tell us! It's how people describe us but we don't have a clue.
Sim: I think the way they must see it is literally that we used to fuse a lot of dubstep sounds into our music and then the crossover being taking that into the pop and urban realm.
What was the first CD you ever bought?
Charlie: It was the Maroon 5 single 'This Love'
Sim: Jamiroquai's first album
Are you glad you auditioned for the X Factor?
Charlie: It was lots of fun
Which contestants do you still speak too?
Sim: Jahmene, Rylan, District 3
Have you had any embarrassing moments on stage? (Loss of sound. falling over) etc
Charlie: Well at a festival the other day I put on some fresh out the packet shorts, and half way through one of the songs I was jumping up and down and they fell halfway down my legs! So everyone saw my pants.
Sim: And I was wearing these vintage flip up sunglasses and when I'm jumping around the stage they were just getting stuck halfway so it was like wearing blinkers and I couldn't make out the edges of the stage. Luckily I didn't fall off.
Do you get many freebies...I noticed on your facebook page (Which we've liked) you get stuff from Two Angle Clothing now!
Charlie; That was definitely our most recent freebie but we're also sponsored by Dropdead so we wear a lot of their clothes. But we don't have anyone offering shoes yet, so....
